Over 600 people step forward at our club each season to ensure players have a great experience. When you register to play on a team, one of the questions you’re asked is if you would like to volunteer and what area you would like to volunteer in. We have many opportunities at the team level (coach, assistant coach, team manager) as well as several non-team roles like photo day assistance, equipment and uniform handout and field set up. Volunteers play a valuable role in delivering Club programs and operations​

Vancouver United FC is extremely grateful to our many volunteers and recognizes the valuable role they play in delivering Club programs and operations. The volunteer program is designed to ensure fairness and respect to members who donate their time to the Club and our players in a variety of meaningful ways. Some positions are eligible for honoraria.

Please refer to the volunteer roles when registering in our online registration system. Any honoraria are issued as credits on the respective members’ VanU FC account rather than a cash, credit card, or Interac rebate. The credit can be used to cover a portion of a future program registration. Volunteers of a graduating player or a player not intending to return who is eligible for reimbursement will be issued a cheque refund upon request at the end of the season.

VanU FC will make every effort to find appropriate volunteer roles for those who would like to get involved and make a contribution to the club. However, it is not guaranteed that a qualifying volunteer opportunity will arise for all interested

members. As new volunteer opportunities arise, calls for volunteers will be made via club-wide emails and postings on the VanU FC website.
